Patient Coordinator
Our client, a home health care provider, is looking for Patient Coordinators to add to their team. This is a Contract-to-Hire position located in Phoenix and paying $14 per hour.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITES The position receives/responds to incoming calls from referral sources/patients, contacts referral sources to advise them on referral status. -Participates in utilization management and performance improvement activities. -Documents the outcome of the call and referral acceptance in an automated manner. -Must contact referral sources to advise them of referral status. -Relays referral info to the clinical team who will deliver the services requested. -Communicates customer service issues to up-line managers and maintains issue logs as appropriate.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -High School diploma required -A minimum of 1 year medical terminology and medical services experiences required. -Experience with ICD-9 coding is preferred. -Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. -Healthcare background that is not just front office or customer service.
